Longtime Condoleezza Rice Aide Launches Consulting Firm In Alabama

FAIRHOPE, AL – February 4, 2010 - Colby Cooper and Jaime Lyon Cooper proudly announce the launch of The Cooper-Lyon Group, LLC, a strategic communications, public relations and operations consulting firm based in Fairhope, Alabama.

In today’s world, achieving lasting solutions requires global insight. The husband and wife team bring to their clients over two decades of national and international experience working with global leaders, government agencies and Fortune 500 companies.

The Cooper-Lyon Group offers a variety of services, including: strategic communications and crisis communications planning; developing media and new media strategies; domestic and international operations, logistics and event planning; strategic research; and, government relations.

Colby recently served as Research Fellow and Chief of Staff to (former U.S. Secretary of State) Professor Condoleezza Rice at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. Prior to transitioning then-Secretary Rice out of government, Colby served as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary of State. Earlier in the Administration of President George W. Bush, Colby served in the White House as the Director for Communications and Media Relations on the National Security Council. He is a native of Oxford, New York.

Before launching The Cooper-Lyon Group, Jaime worked as a consultant for Accenture, where she managed communications for federal clients. Prior to Accenture, Jaime worked for a trio of smaller Information Technology companies including Govolution, ITS Services, Inc. and SETA Corporation. Jaime started her career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC as a sales and public relations assistant. She is a native of Mobile, Alabama.
